Image resizer for social media

Turn any photo into the exact size each network expects, so nothing gets cut off or blurred: Instagram posts and Stories, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and WhatsApp. Everything happens in your browser.

How to use it

Choose your photo, pick the format, then drag the picture to frame it and use the zoom. “Fit” keeps the whole picture and fills the edges with a colour. Click Download to get the image at the exact size.

Formula and method

In “Fill” mode the photo is scaled so that it covers the whole frame (scale = max(width ÷ photo width, height ÷ photo height) × zoom) and the part outside the frame is cropped. In “Fit” mode it is scaled to fit inside (min instead of max) and the empty edges get the background colour. The result is saved as a high-quality JPG at the exact pixel size.

Worked example

A 4000×3000 holiday photo for an Instagram portrait post (1080×1350): in Fill mode it is scaled to 1800×1350 and you choose which 1080 px-wide part to keep; in Fit mode it is shrunk to 1080×810 with a band of colour above and below.
